Battle of the Marching Bands
Where: Atlanta, Georgia on the actions of CNN. When: July four, 2004 following the Independence Day Parade. Bands: The Baltimore Marching Revels Community Marching Band & the Atlanta Metro Band Camp Band. Background: About 2 or three years ago I went to see the 4th of July parade in Atlanta. Following the parade, I walked over to CNN. Outside CNN had been two marching bands getting an impromptu overall performance. Luckily, I was appropriate in the middle. I have had no prior band knowledge and never have been to competitions. I get pleasure from watching bands in person and on film. I don’t believe that most of the general public, such as myself, can comprehend the amount of time that goes into the performances and getting a band member. I know that teamwork and direction are the keys. It is wonderful to see how every single band has its personal character. I appreciate these bands for participating in the parade and I enjoyed their overall performance.
